Here are some things to do help give a buyer a solid impression upon first glance.

Landscape- which can involve a number of things including adding flower beds with fresh mulch,Curb Appeal Articles cutting the grass, and getting rid of weeds.

Color Scheme- It is always good to give your house a 3 color exterior.  The most common being white with black shutters, and a welcoming (freshly painted) red door.

There are also things you can do like adding a welcome mat that is not worn and a flower pot to the front patio area because this is where the buyer will stop and take a look around before entering.

If you have a fence, make sure it has a new coat of paint on it as well.

Make sure that the door handles are clean and that they are not loose.  Windows need to be spotless as well.

Pressure washing the house and driveway is also a great idea to get rid of all the build up accumulated over time.Last but not least, don't leave gutters and downspouts hanging by thread and full of leaves.  Clean them out and make sure they are tightened.
