In an ever-growing virtual world,Designer Shoes: HOT trend Articles with more and more companies putting their products and services online, finding what you want is becoming easier and more convenient.  However, even with hundreds of options sitting right in front of you – sometimes it’s impossible to walk away with the right colour or size you’ve been scouring the Internet for, or even London for that matter.

So where can one go to express their true originality and still get what they want?  Usually we start from head to toe, but here, the toe is where it all begins.  Yes, that’s right; I’m talking about those five-toed extremities we like to call feet.

Besides a pair of cherished Doc Martens boots I own, I have very few pairs of shoes that I wear on a regular basis.  The exception?  Converse, or Chuck Taylors, as I’ve always known them.  A pair of cherry-red Chucks gets me where I’m going most of the time.  Although still a favourite, I’ve seen many pairs, of the very same colour, walking the streets of London.  So is this my fate?  Destined to wear the same colour and style as hundreds of others?  Nope – Converse figured that one out for me.

With Internet fairy tale-type magic, Converse lovers can design their own kicks.  On the official website, people log on to become truly creative with their footwear.  So, how does it work?

Arriving on the webpage, would-be-designers find the site user-friendly, with not too many images or copy cluttering up the page.  Simple and clear, people navigate this page as well as the back of their hand (or foot, if you want to be accurate).  If you’re looking for a specific pair of Chucks, you can sort through a number of criteria, such as style and material, but for those who are a little more adventurous, hit the Design Your Own logo – this is where the real fun begins.

With ten different options to pimp your Chucks, it’s up to you where your shoes take you.  From the outside body to the tongue to the racing stripe, choose colours and prints that fit you best.  (And if you’re smart, you’ll choose a size that fits you best as well).

Many other websites offer the same services, so no matter where you live; you can create your own Chucks.  Now I want to design my own Doc Martens boots as well.
