I want to talk to you about big ideas today,Developing Big Ideas for Business Articles big ideas are what make the world stand on its feet and say “wow!” What do you remember seeing in your neighborhood, or on television, or on the internet that made you say, “that was great, what a great idea!” Everyone is looking for the next big thing, the next “flu-gen-nocker” that helps you change the way the world uses a certain product or service. This article is for the dreamers, it is for those who strive to accomplish that which others say cannot be accomplished, those who truly have “Big Ideas!”

I have found that in order to capitalize on the creative vitality that flows through my body I must open myself up to the subject that I am trying to conceptualize or ponder about. I try to embrace it, and think about it from every angle imaginable. I knew I wanted to be in business from a very early age in my life, I think it was when my father had a conversation with me about supply and demand in the drive-thru line at McDonald’s. However, I did not realize that I was born to be an entrepreneur until I was in college. I asked myself, how can I make the most money in life, and I came to the conclusion that I had to invent something, but what should I invent? Everyday I would ask myself the same question “what does the world need, what could everyone use?” I would think about shoes, food, air, cars, etc… This was when I began to embrace the concept of thinking big. The point of this story is to talk about the phrase I repeated “what does the world need?” I surrounded myself with a mentality that I had to answer that question in order to accomplish my big idea.

You must constantly ponder on you ideas, you must tweak them, make corrections to them, and solve problems when they arise. Achieving success that resonates in the mind of people in an impacting way, is never easy, however those who understand their visions and understand that hard work must be implemented can truly accomplish anything. Vision is very important when trying to achieve or conquer a large task or goal. All ideas are created in the mind and therefore they can become skewed in their translation in to the physical world. You need to keep a mental log of your visions on ideas; you must take a step back and make sure that what you see in your mind is being properly portrayed throughout the construction of it physically.

I have found that creating vision charts is extremely helpful, what I mean is creating a chart on paper similar to a flow chart or family tree (or whatever you are comfortable with). Begin by writing down a thought, and then start drawing branches from each area that is a new thought. As you view each area individually new thoughts will occur, and you can attach them as they occur to the proper place in your vision Chart. This can sound confusing and I understand, however give it a try. Start in the middle of a blank piece of paper with one idea that you right down, and then make a big circle around it. Now ask yourself what do you think about this idea, and write another thought with a bubble around it that attaches to the first thought, and so on. This can be very soothing for conceptualizing complex thoughts. Now as you begin to develop your big idea, take these thoughts and remember that you have to immerse yourself into the subject matter you are thinking about while visually charting your thoughts. If you never reach for the sky, you will never fly!
