Does your business need better customer service? Customer service is one of the crucial elements in any small business. Yet this vital factor is conveniently neglected by many entrepreneurs. By delivering a consistent and excellent customer service,Does Your Business Need Better Customer Service? Articles a brand is born. Without consistent and great customer service, you can kiss any success goodbye.

In the present times where new age communication is the in thing, it has become ever more easy to have a meaningful engagement with customers by employing social media. If a business can maintain consistency with its brand promise, people will evoke the brand and spread the word about it to others in their network. A caring brand will have devoted customers who would consider new products from the same company.

Customers use a brand because they love to be associated with something that is regarded with high esteem. Wearing a Lacoste T shirt or a Rolex watch would liven up their lives and make them feel more confident due to its high regard in the society. The values a business holds high and its employees' conduct should match. I remember once making a telephone call to an organisation on a Monday morning and the voice at the other end sounded sleepy and not at all interested to help me with my issue. These kinds of silly attitudes from hopeless employees will invariably smudge the brand image.

I recall an incident, once when I was waiting at the till of a cake shop, the customer in front of me did not have the exact amount to pay. The staff muttered something and never bothered to look at his face when she gave him the bill and the balance amount. Another classic example was, once when I travelled by the national air carrier of a country, I was surprised by the behaviour of one of its crew members when I asked for vegetarian meal. She said, "you have to eat non-veg because your family is having it". Can you believe it? On one side the marketing department is planning and coming out with great strategies to improve its brand image and on the other side a staff who is supposed to hold the brand image high is very conveniently destroying it.

Make sure that whatever you do, you make efforts to have consistent and excellent customer service in your business, it is the only way to stay competitive in today's market.
