Promoting your business at a trade show is really a good route to take.  There are many different trade shows that you can attend throughout the year in the local areas surrounding your business.  The following are several things that you should know before doing your next trade show event with your staff.

You get an allotted amount of space at these things. Do what you can with it. I have seen liquor reps create what looks like a small cozy living room in their area. You could use some of this idea yourself. They have a tent-like structure put up that encompasses their space. It was a dark burgundy color,Get Good Giveaways For Your Next Industry Event Articles and it was opened in the front with what appeared to be draped curtains. Because of the dark material it was cozy and dim inside. They had some of those fake tea lights in candle holders too. There were couches to sit on and the staff handed out samples from trays to whoever entered. Coffee tables were used for info packets.

You want the people that are manning your table to have a plan of action. Tell them ahead of time what the goal is. You could be after contact information, or be more interested in just getting a few points out to everyone that stops by. If they know what to do then it lessens nervousness. When your employees greet people with a friendly relaxed attitude it makes it more welcoming.

Purchase promotional products.  And don't wait until the last minute.  When you are going to be doing a trade show, you will most likely have some advanced notice so don't box yourself in.  Choose some different inexpensive items to giveaway to everyone who enters your booth. Obtain customer information.  Find a gimmick that makes people give you their personal information to be able to contact them later.   Offering a raffle can be a good incentive for people to write their information down for you.  Be sure to make the item you will raffle off fun and interesting and perhaps even make it something with your business logo right on the front.  Doing this will save a lot of time over your staff having to collect this information.

Don't neglect to bring some pamphlets or other ways of getting info to people. If you have some loose papers then giving them out in a bag, that is sturdy enough to be used again, would be a good idea. I have seen people staple a few pieces of info on paper to a small bag of candy. That makes it more attractive.
