These pearls are high in quality than Akoyas. As a result, Hanadama pearls are more precious over similarly sized, lesser quality pearls. The hanadama pearl is generally a type of Akoya Pearls. The hanadama Pearls are certified by Japanese science laboratory of pearls. So there is no doubt about the quality of these pearls because certification is only provided if they fullfill all the quality factors. In Science laboratory of Japan the Hanadama Pearls are tested by means of X-ray testing. It is generally done to determine the nacre thickness. If the Pearl meets the standard thickness it is certified otherwise it will be rejected. But this is not the only method available to test the quality of Hanadama Pearls. The other method can also be used which is known as fibre optical method.
