Brigade Electronics has announced the launch of a new in-vehicle digital recording system which will give managers the chance to keep track of all their fleet or freight exchange drivers in real time using 3G technology.

The system will allow operators to instantly and remotely track and access camera-footage,Have Remote Access to Your Fleet’s Footage with Brigade Articles speed information and location details of drivers out on the road, whether they be part of their fleet or a driver contracted through freight exchange.

Brigade claims that the data and imagery will be invaluable in the case of an incident as it will provide real time evidence of culpability, including film footage.

The service, managed by Brigade, will work via a 3G SIM card, the information from which can be accessed by operators either through the company’s server or by downloading the system’s app on to a mobile device.

Brigade Electronics – a Name to Trust

Brigade believe that by managing the service themselves they will be able to solve any system problems quickly and efficiently, leaving managers free to get on with the business of logistics, haulage and running their freight exchange.

The company has previously made its mark on the haulage industry with the security alert system Sidescan, which it will also be updating this year based on user-feedback. The new Sidescan will silence the buzzer when no motion is detected.

With warranties which span from five years to a lifetime, great aftersales, and technical support and engineering capabilities which are second to none, Brigade aim to look after all their partners no matter what size their fleet.

Spread the Cost

The new mobile digital recording system will be available for freight exchange drivers and managers to lease from Brigade –a move which the company hopes will enable fleet operators to spread the cost of installing the systems on multiple vehicles.

Brigade’s Marking Manager, Emily Hardy, told HGVUK.com: “The great thing about leasing is that, unlike hire purchases, it actually makes products cheaper because payments are fully deductible against pre-tax profits, thereby reducing payments in real terms. So, for instance, the capital cost of £25,000 is reduced by £1,190 once tax relief has been applied. When our customers realise the savings they are making they tell us that they can’t afford not to lease products, leaving valuable capital for more strategic purposes.”

One of the greatest benefits of leasing the new system will be that at the end of the term operators can choose to upgrade the product, giving them on-going access to the very latest advancements in the technology. Alternatively, they will be given the chance to extend the lease to cover additional vehicles without having to pay more each month.

The ability to monitor and track your drivers in real time using 3G connectivity will mean that you are able to offer more detailed information to your clients regarding delivery times. The system’s ability to keep you constantly informed about any transport issues along the way will make your job more efficient and, hopefully, just a little bit easier.
