What do you want to achieve in life? There are so many kinds of people and their preferences are also so diverse, but surprisingly you will find that when it comes to accomplishments, there is a lot of similarity. We all want a good life – we all want to amass enough wealth so that we can lead a comfortable lifestyle. We all want to own a great home and perhaps even one for the weekend in the hills where we can spend a day or two in luxury, quietly. And that’s not all – we all want a great automobile – a jazzy sports car or a stylish sedan, and we all want to go on that exotic vacation.

But to achieve even half of what we set out to do, we need to be very successful. A personal accomplishment list can be of great help in this. So make this list and enter here everything you want to achieve in life and when you have all of them clearly written and right in front of your eyes, you are sure to feel motivated. For many people, a lack of motivation and persistence is a major reason why they never achieve most of their goals. Let this not happen to you.

Divide your accomplishment list into short term, mid-term and long term accomplishments. Then as you keep achieving one milestone after another, just tick them off the list – but do not forget to mention what you did and how you achieved them, and also mention the time it took you. The simple fact that your list is shortening over time can be a great motivator to keep you going – and it will also keep your focus too.

There is another reason why a personal accomplishment list is a great idea. This is because the human brain is a funny thing and our preferences and what we truly want often keeps changing and this may  make us lose our focus at times. For example, if your priority is to buy that great mansion you once saw, then you should work hard toward it. But there may be so many temptations like a cruise vacation to Alaska or spending a week in the Amazon rain forest. These distractions can leave a hole in your pocket and in the endScience Articles, you will not achieve what you set out to do in the first place.

Making your personal accomplishment list will also make you think about all the things you want to achieve in life and pen them down in one place. This will ensure that you will accomplish your dreams.
