Having a mini fridge and microwave in your room allows you to eat leftovers the next day, or late at night, so that you do not have leave the building and spend more money on food.

Some cities have very little parking available, at least not for free. Even paid parking may be hard to find, which is why the finest hotels have at least one free parking spot. This way, you will not spend most of your trip trying to find a spot to leave your car, and you will not spend most of your money doing the same. It is even more helpful when the location you are checking out offers covered parking spaces in case it rains or is particularly sunny. Of course, if you do not plan to drive or rent a car, you do not need to consider this aspect.
