Classify by Application - steel pipes for pipelines, steel pipes for thermal equipment, steel pipes for industrial machinery , petroleum , geological drilling steel , container steel , chemical industry with steel pipes, steel pipes for special purposes , others. 1.  for low pressure liquid delivery (GB / T3092-1993) ,it is also known as general welded pipe, commonly known as the black steel pipe. Welded steel pipe is used for conveying water, gas , air, oil and heating steam and other general low pressure fluid and for some other purposes as well. Then divided into ordinary wall thickness steel pipe and thicker steel by wall thickness ; take pipe end into consideration, welded steel pipe can be divided into bare steel tube (bare tubes ) and threaded steel pipe . Pipe specifications could express with nominal diameter (mm), nominal diameter is the approximation of the diameter. Traditionally, expressed in inches commonly , such as 11/2 and so on. Except for delivering low pressure liquid directly, welded steel pipes are also widely used as raw pipe for low pressure liquid delivery galvanized welded steel pipe .
