I was listening to a recording of Johnny Wimbrey, and he discussed "How to Take Your Team From Ordinary to Extraordinary in Less Than 30 Days: Using All Out Massive Momentum.” Johnny talked about how most people don’t treat their MLM Business like the multi-million dollar business it is. They treat it like the $150 they spent in order to “get in.” If you treat the business like a hobby, it will pay you like a hobby. Your belief makes the decision.

Johnny talked about how most people don’t treat their MLM Business like the multi-million dollar business it is. They treat it like the $150 they spent in order to “get in.” If you treat the business like a hobby, it will pay you like a hobby. Your belief makes the decision.

The first thing Johnny states is “It takes TeamWork, to make the DreamWork.” Within your team, you must create an entity of one, walk the same, talk, and dress the same. People want to be apart of something that’s right and has it going on.

Next as a leader, sponsor, you must lead with your heart. People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. People joined YOU, not your business. 80% of people who join a network marketing business and fail never get back in due to their sponsor. We have enough of that that has happened in the past, its time for us to step it up and be the support structure that is needed.

Build a team that knows you care. Don’t see dollar signs, create dollar signs together. Don’t be a dictator. Dictators tell people what to do, Leaders show people what to do, and Follow-Up. Correction without love is abuse. Be the type of leader you would like to have. Be the person you would like to be around, excited, full of energy, full of life, because if you aren’t energetic, how can you expect your team to be fired up and ready to conquer the world. You can’t.

Become one with your purpose, “Your why”. Your whole team must be in tuned with their why, and commit and say to yourself “I will be here one year from today!” Your mind can not determine between dream and reality, so envision and picture your goals and dreams daily. Your success is in duplication.

Follow your leader, if you have one, if you don’t have one, find one! And do what he/she tells you to do to get to the level of success they achieved. Be trainable, coachable, and teachable. Show your team how to be the same way, and you all will be unstoppable.

Fake it until you make it. Buy a new suit, a new dress, new watch, take your clothes to the cleaners, do something different so others will notice a change in you. Whether you realize it or not, your friends and family are watching you. They want to see how fast you will quit, fail, or if you will succeed. You have already decided that you will be unstoppable, so show them you are not giving up. You will be surprised at the results of doing a little something new or different every now and again.

I’m sure you heard this one before, “Don’t reinvent the wheel!” Johnny says “I’m smart enough to know that I’m NOT smart enough to reinvent the wheel. Ignorance on FIRE is better than brilliance on ICE.”

Sell the sizzle, and not the steak. When you are approaching people about how great your business is, don’t give too much upfront. For example, if you were inviting your buddy to get on a conference call, you’d call him up excited and smiling through the phone “Hey buddy, grab a piece of paper and pen, and write this down, (give the details) call that number at 9pm, man you are not gonna believe what you will hear, I gotta call up a few more people, talk to you later.” Your buddy will be very curious to know what all the excitement is all about and will more than likely call just as you asked. But if you call your buddy even with the same enthusiasm and say “Hey buddy, I just joined this awesome business, and man I’m excited. We are having a conference call tonight at 9pm, write down this number and details and join me on the call.” You have sold the steak and now your buddy knows what its all about and will more than likely be disinterested.

People follow stories before they follow facts. You will catch 90% of the people by sharing success stories of people just like them who are creating a full-time income working part-time, and only ten percent of the people by giving out just the facts. People will dance to your music, if you sound excited, they will too. Become systems dependent, and not people dependent. Because people will ALWAYS let you down, just let the number do the work for you.

Third-party validation is credibility. Its just human nature, don’t take it personal. If I am your friend, and I tell you Hey, I just saw a truck flip over and a bunch of chickens came out and are scattered all over the road, its causing major accidents. You turn on the tv and see it on the news, now you are listening to me more. Its not that people don’t believe you, its just human nature and how we as a people just tend to believe things when we hear it from another source. Use your upline, use your sponsor, get them on 3-way calls, and always be shocked when you call them up as if you didn’t know you would be able to catch them on the phone.

Last but not least, Johnny talks about staying close to the fire. You must, absolutely must stay close to the fire. Stay on conference calls, meetings whatever is your preference. Even if you do not have a guest to attend the meeting, you still need to go because the meeting needs you.
