control valve is operating acceptably. Testing of plastic pipe,
fittings and assemblies for pressure applications depends on the hydrostatic pressure test.
Actual pipe and fitting samples are tested (typically) under a
constant static water pressure at a set temperature. A variety of
testing programs can be conducted to determine pipe performance ranging
from the development of a pressure rating through hydrostatic
regression testing, assessment of stress crack resistance in different
environments, thermo-cycle testing to oxidative stability testing.
