People can feel it when they walk into a place of business and it is a healthy workplace.

Many places seem to accept that high turnover is a way of life. It doesn't have to be that way. There are proven methods that will make your employees work to the best of their abilities and be happy about it. There are several factors that go into this. If you have some of the most basic issues taken care of, good working conditions, and decent managers, then the rest will not be too hard to do.

The first thing to do is look at your employees. Is one doing the work for three. Are some of them such slackers that everyone else has to follow behind them to get things finished up. No one will be happy in this situation. The non-performing employee will probably be one of those that are unhappy anywhere and those that are picking up behind him are most likely the type that try to make the best of things and get the job done. If you have a reward system it can help people to want to work harder, or to do a better job when they have to.
