The holidays provide the perfect opportunity to make a lot of money for your dollar store business.  This is especially the case in today's economic climate in which people are trying to save as much money as possible.  Three of the biggest holidays include Halloween,Is The Holiday Dollar Merchandise On The Sales Floor Of Your Dollar Store Business? Articles Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  With all of them being mere months apart, you will need to plan carefully so you can take advantage of this promising opportunity every year.

It is best for you to start putting Halloween dollar merchandise on the floor about two months before the holiday actually rolls around.  It should be displayed very prominently in your dollar store business.  Having these items out this early will ensure your customers have enough time to get all of the merchandise they need.

It is a really good idea to have an assortment of Halloween impulse items on the floor.  Bags of candy which are placed near the cash registers should sell like hot cakes.  Your customers will already be in the buying frame of mind by the time they are near the cash register, and may remember they need candy for the upcoming holiday.

Even before Halloween comes around you should start displaying Thanksgiving merchandise in your dollar store business.  These items should not be displayed as prominently as the Halloween merchandise yet, but as the latter sells out, you can move the Thanksgiving dollar merchandise to a more prominent location.

Customers will need a variety of items for this huge holiday.  Table covers with fall decorations should fly off the shelves.  They will also need dinnerware, paper plates, and cups for the meals.

As an owner of a dollar store business, Christmas will probably be your biggest time of year.  You will want to display Christmas items months in advance as well.  Just put them farther back in the store until the holiday comes closer.

You will need to offer a wide selection of Christmas items such as lights and decorations, wrapping paper, and gift bags.  With all of the wrapping that is going on, you probably will not be able to keep enough scotch tape on the shelves.  People will also be looking for disposable cameras and film to create memories of the occasion.

Virtually every dollar store business looks forward to three of the biggest holidays of the year.  Make sure you start displaying the items months before the holiday actually rolls around though.  You will want to give your customers plenty of time to get the dollar merchandise they need.
