It’s simply to ASK for one more “client’ …. Ask for one and more WILL come!

Ok – I hear you. “I need a lot more than just one more client” But take my word for it. Ask for one and more will come!

Just try it and you’ll see what I mean. Read on to find out why it works and how to do it ….

WHY asking for one more client will work for you …

It tells them you’re not going to be working
with so many people you won’t have time for them anymore. You only want one more right ;) - You appeal to their need to feel important!

It tells them you’re not going to be working with so many people you won’t have time for them anymore. You only want one more right ;) - You appeal to their need to feel important!

It tells them you want their help and they are in a position to give it to you. They know at least one person in their network right? If they benefit from your services, surely their mate will too! You are now appealing to their need to feel needed!

It gives them something specific and makes it easy. This is simple. You’re only asking them to think of one person. It’s easy for them to have that one person in their mind, rather than just a faceless group. You’re now making it easy for them!

So here’s HOW to do it …

Tell your client you have availability in your schedule to work with just ONE more client. Explain that you don’t want to work with just anyone, that you’d like to work with clients that _________ (insert your own personal criteria here).

Ask them who they know that is in a similar line of business that you could assist with __________ (what can you do for them – be specific).

Now, in some cases you’ll get an immediate answer and your client will suggest someone by name. Other times the referral will come a week or two later. I have experienced this personally. So I know this method works.

And AFTERWARDS …

After you have the details of your potential new client be sure to follow-up promptly. It is especially important that you follow-up and provide outstanding service to referrals. If you don’t follow-up promptly then your existing client or referral will be sure to hear all about it.

Send a thank you to your client for making the referral. Reward them and I promise you – they won’t send one they’ll send you more!

And one more thing … if you’re current client number is a big fat zero then look out for our next article on starting from scratch!

Remember ask for one and more will come.
