Getting There

If you are planning to fly your destination will be Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport. From here you have several options for how to get over to Orange Beach Alabama. There are vans and buses that make the trip daily but you may want to upgrade to a limo, a special treat to enjoy while on vacation. If you like having a little more freedom while traveling, pick up a rental car at the airport and be on your way.

Beaches

When you get here there are several options for fun. The beaches are always popular with families and singles alike. Rent a boat and bring it into the water at one of the public access points. Be sure to read up on all the rules that come with boating and fishing. This will ensure that you can enjoy your time without worrying about any problems.

With the sun shining high you may just want to lay out in the sand, work on your tan, read a book or even walk along the shoreline to pass the time. When you need to cool off a little you can jump into the water and let a few waves crash over you. If you have never tried boogie boarding, this is the perfect place to give it a try.

Hiking a Trail

If you have had enough of the beaches or you just aren't that into the water, plan to take a hike along the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. Visitors to Orange Beach Alabama make this trek with binoculars, a camera, and plenty of water. There are also places to ride a bike as well. If you complete this trail you will end up at the Gulf State Park. Fan of birdwatching wouldn't have a complete vacation without hiking the Coastal Birding Trail. From the smallest of winged creatures to the larger versions you can experience them up close and personal on the walk.

Shopping

After all that swimming, walking, and biking it is time for a rest. Or you may be ready to get in a little shopping. Residents will tell you that there are two places that you have to check out before you go home. The Tanger Outlet Center is a must see if you are searching for a bargain. It is a little bit of a drive from Orange Beach Alabama, but once you get there, the drive will be well worth it. If you don't spend the entire day there you can head over to the Eastern Shore Center for even more shopping. Restaurants are located within the complex so plan to stop and have lunch or dinner here. Then, if you can fit all of your purchases back in the car you can head back over to Orange Beach Alabama.
