Planning Your Work & Time --How to Have it All and Eat Your Cake too- Part 3

Building momentum in your business is easier than you think—but you need to know how to do it the right way. Starting with a plan, and your end goal, your business momentum will start today!

There are a lot of people out there that just rush head long into trying to make money online, without sitting down before hand and planning what they are going to do, these people will be very lucky if they make any money.

So the best place to start we have already gone over, working out your strengths and weaknesses, having a vision and purpose.  Now you are ready to plan out what you need to do in your online business.  Make sure you put this plan down on paper, so it is a physical thing.  This helps to create clarity and gives you something to look at if you are feeling a bit lost, it will help get you back on track.

Don’t just write down your business plan straight away, put down where you want to be in a years time.

• Do you want to be at the top of every search engine?
• Do you want to be speaking of your success at seminars?
• Do you want to have paid off your mortgage? 
• Are you going to be able to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your work or do you still want to be active with your business every day?
• Who will be a part of it? 
• Will you have lots of people working for you or just a few? 
• Will you be working with the top people or helping beginners? 
• What will it look like and what will you be doing?

Think of these things and write them down - how you will be at that period in time and how your online business will be.   All these things should be mapped out ahead of time. 

Creating a mind map within yourself and a physical map that you can look at will help you to do things in the time span you have set.  When setting out this plan, you should always start at the end.  By this I mean you should write down what your business online is going to end up like, then work the plan backwards so you have a yearly plan, with your goals and what you want to achieve, then a monthly plan of work that you want to accomplish and needs to be done, then to the weekly plan and finally a daily plan.

You may be asking yourself, how can you know what is going to be happening in a years, months or a weeks time?  Well that is where the visualization comes in, because if you have not envisioned any of these things, then they are not going to happen.  If you have envisioned them and they still have not happened, just move them a bit further along your plan and they will, but also I bet something else has happened within that period that you did not expect and it will be good.

Even if you think you are not going to do something, does not mean it will not happen.  Try to think of every detail, for example, are you going to need to outsource work and if not why?  When you look at things like this, you have to have in mind an amount of work that you are willing to outsource.  Plus you will need to know how to outsource your work and find the best people for the job.

Making a mental and written plan of what you are doing and going to do is one of the most important things you can do.  It gives you momentum and structure and as it itself is a plan it gives you just that.
