In this article I present 8 actions to help you get started in the promotion of your business.  Give each of these a try.  Keep those which add to dollar store sales for your dollar store business.  Replace those actions which do not add to sales.

    Promotional Banners

Banners are a great promotional tool.  They can be hung inside or outside your dollar store.  Temporary banners can promote special events, one-time deals on merchandise or almost anything else you can imagine.

    Vehicle Wraps

Traveling advertising for your business!  With today’s technology vehicle wraps are surprising quick and easy to install (And remove.) and they cost less than you might imagine.

    ‘A’-Frame Signs

A-Frame signs are great for parking lot entrances, or pointing toward the front of your store.  Whether it is to promote your business, or a featured item or event, they can be quite effective.

    Temporary Push-In Signs

What an inexpensive, yet effective way to promote your business.  These small signs can feature a specific product, a special running throughout your store, or an event you are currently holding.  They are inexpensive and easy to install and remove.

    Flags

Flags can be placed right outside your store, at parking lot entrances, or inside your store.  They are eye catching and will draw the attention of passersby.

    Inflatable Balloon Animals and Figures

Whether it is a huge inflatable gorilla, or an action hero, large figures placed outside or on-top of your store will get the attention you seek.

Brightly Colored Items Outside Your Store

There is almost nothing as effective at attracting attention and making added sales for your business as rolling display baskets filled with brightly colored merchandise.  Be sure to place the heaviest items on the bottom and progressively lighter items as you work your way to the top.

    Person Holding a Sign/Banner

In some locations this is absolutely one of the most effective actions you can take to promote your store.  If the person is on a corner close by your store you have the opportunity to be seen by passersby who do not even know your dollar store business exists.

Never let your foot off the gas pedal of growing dollar store sales.  Always be on the lookout for new and different actions you can try.  Some will fail to achieve your growth goals.  Others will contribute mightily to building dollar store sales levels for your dollar store business.  Be sure to check local ordinances and landlord/lease requirements before spending money on any of these or other actions.
