One of the most famous and most historic part of Scotland’s capital Edinburgh is The Royal Mile,Royal Mile: Heart of Scotland’s Tourism  Articles it is perhaps the most well known stretch in all of Edinburgh because it boasts a lot of tourists spots, it is a mile stretch which is a succession of streets in which has historical value in Edinburgh, it is a mile from east to west that consists tourist spots like Abbey Strand, Canongate, High Street, Lawnmarket, Castlehill and Castle Esplanade, the Royal Mile is probably one of the busiest tourists one mile stretch in all of Edinburgh. If you ask why, one of the reasons is the historic value of the Royal Mile itself and of course the fascinating structures in which medieval architects Edinburgh has form the medieval era that brought these fascinating buildings to life. 

Over the years the progress of architects Edinburgh employs have been significant from using mixed mediums in making the overall architecture of Edinburgh to preserving what the genius architects and engineers from way back the medieval era. It is nice to know that with all the changes and the modernization of Scotland, Edinburgh still finds a way to make history matters most. The Royal Mile has been consistent on bringing in tourists who embraces history, the 19th Century born Castle Esplanade and Castlehill boasts medieval-liked buildings from Cannonball house to St. John Church you can really admire the art in which in the form of architecture in structures that can be seen in this stretch. The oldest attraction built for the city is the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions in which can be one of the main attraction in the area as well.

The Lawnmarket can also be one of the busiest streets in Royal Mile basically because it is a linen market which has tourist-oriented shops here and there to make tourists get their souvenirs and other goodies. In the Lawnmarket as well, you would find the 17th century townhouse known as the Gladstone’s Land in which one of the attraction, the design of its building is clearly 17th century it oozes with history as you look at it and you’ll appreciate as well what architects Edinburgh assign to restore the place truly original and of course captivating.  In the High Street you will find The Heart of Midlothian, it is a mosaic pavement marking a known tourist attraction in which is located in the side of a tolbooth or prison, it is known before that prisoners who walk in its path spit in the heart shaped marking before they enter the prison, some people still do it as a sign of good luck.

The whole Royal Mile today is known as a great tourist spot in which people go for shops and eateries as well as historical attractions such as buildings and structures. It is also known as the heart of the judicial system in Scotland as the High Court of Judiciary is located there as well as the Court of Sessions. Truly the Royal Mile has become one of Scotland’s best asset in terms of tourism plus the architects Edinburgh has, working with its buildings and historical structures made a good job on restoring its beauty and preserving it as well.
