In many corporate,Species recruitment process of nature a must for corporate Articles the problems between the old vs. new sometime can reach to the proportion of war.   The old under reference is not relating to the age of the people but to refer to those who are working with the same organization for quite long period of time and the new are those who are recruited newly (6 month duration).  Entrepreneurs always have the problem of choosing the best.  The old clan and the new generation will never get along well in most organizations.

The new assume that only by replacing the old it can ensure its space whereas the old will always think that it has to prove that the new is wrong, worthless & not meeting the expectation whereas the old is only right & more useful.  In the gamut of the above confusion, many entrepreneurs usually get trapped nicely and would be playing the game of find the castle.

It is natural that the expectations of the entrepreneurs when they hire a new talent will be relatively high.  In most occasions, the direction of expectation of the entrepreneurs will remain unclear.  The new talents when they join any organization will have to face two types of challenges viz., dealing the old and creating a new difference.  The old clan will have a simple challenge that they have to pull the new to their flock or ensure that they bring no new differences in the organization.

In the traumatic war of ego and identity search, even the pre-existing or ongoing work also may suffer and that would result in no perceivable result/difference after recruiting new talents.   In many occasions, the entrepreneurs are made to think that the old flock is better than the new clan.

The issue to be remembered by the entrepreneurs and the HR before recruiting new talents is that, they need to create some obvious and well distinct space for such people.  The niche creation should be in such a way where it will have least overlapping with the existing set up and conflicts with the old clan.  Only after minimum cultural integration is achieved between the old and the new, the niche of the new talents can be extended.  A kind of quarantine like approach may be wise to follow otherwise both the old and the new together breed nothing but only conflicts and clashes.

When the organization hire new talents, they have the responsibility to provide new vista of challenges and opportunities and the new talents should not be made to find its space from the old flock.

Nature has created diversity of species only by following the above principle.  New opportunity and new ecosystem has been provided to every new species to perform in a totally independent manner.  If every new species were to combat with the pre-existing species for its survival means, the nature would have become a barren land by now where only fight for survival would exist and not freedom and beauty.

Interestingly, nature has enough to offer to its entire species diversity, so shall be the organization.  Otherwise they should not recruit new talents haphazardly. HR needs to know how to balance the equation of old vs. new.  Nature also dared to remove both the old and the new when it found the fitment issue which is scientifically described as ‘natural extinction’.
