Your
apartment period is completed. Horrible, isnt it? Likely, its full of random
emotions periods of hate of your living situation, fun memories with
neighbors, and finally, the rush to leave, whether its to somewhere
fresh, a different apartment, or a new home, its time to leave. Before you
leave, though, there is some things you should wrap up before saying goodbye
for the last time.
Network.
Networking is so strong. Whether its for friends or for business, socializing
with your neighbors and friends made in the area is something you should for
sure do. At least make certain you are friends with them on Facebook or Myspace
or Linkden, if not, get a phone number. The more allies you have, the better!
You would be surprised how frequently youll look back years from now and think
I miss this person.
Clean
up your place. Leaving the apartment often ends in four letter words
of renters who lost their deposit and felt they were not guilty of it.. Its
often hard to tell if youre getting ripped off or not, but either way, spruce
up your place and make it look great. Dont give them a reason to grossly
overspend for something! Re-read your contract and see what they want back. Was
there two keys and two garage door openers? What in the room was theirs, and
what did you buy yourself? Do you have an option to take it back? Make sense of
all these things, and make sure you get a walkthrough to see what concerns they
might have.
Throw
a going away get together. This is your ultimate second in the
spotlight.. enjoy it! Invite your amigos, talk about the year that was, and go
crazy. You can not get kicked out now, so you might as well live it up. Its
also a good way to lock up friendships you grew in the last year and move them
forward to the future.
