Multilevel marketing industry has definitely seen the rise of some self-made men. Vijay Eswaran belongs to that category. He is a Malaysian businessman, who is currently working as the Executive Chairman of the QI Group, which is based in Hong Kong. He is known for his writing abilities.

Vijay is the older one of the two siblings. His career and work splits between the time and space of Malaysia,The journey of Vijay Eswaran Articles Hong Kong and London. He is a known name in the MLM industry. QNET has definitely flourished under his guidance. He graduated with a degree in socio-economy from the London School of Economics in the year 1984. His foundation of hard work and discipline was set, when he stayed in Europe for another year and did several odd works, including working on the construction site in Belgium, plucking fruit in France as well as driving a taxi in London.

It was in the United Kingdom that he had been introduced to the binary system of marketing. It prompted him to acquire a professional qualification through CIMA in the United Kingdom, followed by an MBA degree from the Southern Illinois in the year 1986. This is a significant point of his life as a promising career in the MLM industry caught his attention.

He is an inspiring figure as he has given speeches in top universities, in management as well as in business discussion boards. His first book ‘In the Sphere of Silence’ encapsulates his primary viewpoint. The book has been translated into various languages like German, Dutch, Indonesian, Chinese, Arabic as well as Persian. His second book, ‘In the Thinking Zone’, is a collection of thoughts and insights on life. His third book ‘18 Stepping Stones’ premiered in 2010 and his fourth book ‘On the Wings of Thought’ was recently released in 2011. This work displays his skills as a photographer.

Corporate firms indulge in Corporate Social Responsibility and QNET has the RHYTHM foundation, the corporate Personal Responsibility arm of the QI group. In Malaysia, he has built the Vijayaratnam Basis, in his father's honor, to continue the philanthropic activities that were started 60 years ago by his father, Lt. Mr. S. Vijayaratnam in Malaysia. Through the foundation, Vijay Eswaran made significant individual donations to people and charitable trusts from all over the world including orphanages, religious and cultural organizations and individuals who were in need.

I have read various write-ups in which multilevel marketing companies have been criticized, but people seem to forget that this industry has given the world some motivating figures, which have created an impact. For instance, Vijay Eswaran obtained the honorary title of Knight Commander of The Crown of Pahang in recognition for his contribution to the economic growth of the state of Pahang. Before criticizing any industry, people should think about the contributions and the benefits that it offers to the society. It is very easy to sling mud on such industries, but their advantages must not be forgotten. They have brought about a sea of changes, which have been for the better.
