A Gantt chart as it is an ideal tool that helps in the evaluation and planning of complicated projects. Listed below are some of the benefits of employing the use of a Gantt chart in a project. They are as follows:-

1)    A Gantt chart is very helpful to a person as it is suitable for planning complicated tasks, which need to be completed on time.

Apart from the above-mentioned benefits, the Gantt chart also helps in activities like Sequence and Analogy, as one of the important factor of project planning is that the tasks are interrelated and without the completion of the previous task, the new one cannot start.

The tasks that are depended on each other are termed as ‘sequential activities’ or ‘linear activities’.  Each project has different stages, when tasks are depended either on each other, each stage should be completed or on the verge of completion in order to start with the new task.

If in a project, the various tasks are not depended on each other in order to complete the project, then it is termed as ‘non- dependent tasks’ or ‘parallel tasks’.
