The bird roadrunner is known to escape from its enemies and predators by running than flying.  The roadrunners although knows to fly,They know to fly but runs... a corporate message Articles but prefers to run in most occasions.  The nature has a reason for creating this bird in such a way.  Indeed the modern corporate must learn the management reason of the bird that lives in grass land.

The roadrunners are not great flying birds.  It can fly only for a short while and short distance.  Further, the bird also required to spend great energy for flying than running.

When there is threat, therefore the roadrunner adopt running as the first method of defense or escape than flying.  The interesting fact is that, the roadrunner that attempts to fly as the first option of escape fall prey easily to its predator than the one that runs.

The corporate people must learn the best management approach of the roadrunners.  They should always resorts to the area of their strength while conducting the business than exploring the area of their weakness.

In most occasions, the corporate people love to impress others and to achieve the same; they prefer to operate from the domain of what they know the least than the best.  In every meeting, they love to pose some question as if they have understood the content.  Sometime, their question may appear very primitive and silly.  But they never realize such fact because they do not know the subject.

During performance appraisal, most bosses try to ask several questions to their subordinates just to prove the point that they can understand the subject better.  Unfortunately, most employees never realize the fact that they should follow the management approach of the roadrunners during such occasion.  If the subordinates dwell deep inside the area of their expertise, the bosses will have to return empty handed but instead of doing so, the subordinates started to blabber things that they do not know.

The message is that, use your expertise first and then swing to the areas that you know the least.   Never operate from the domain of your least expertise.

The roadrunners represent a finest management principle that every corporate leader must learn.

One can learn only when one patiently watch, observe, listen and understand the nature.  Every life form has several things to teach the corporate.  The best success instincts one can learn if ‘learn’ about the roadrunners.

Do not just stop with what you see in the seen, but learn to see what is not seen in the seeing.  Only when you search, you can find.

Hence forth, when you have to deal your boss or client, use your ‘expertise’ first and not your ‘weakness’.
