Nowadays many different types of pressure washers are available in the market for the different applications. This article shares some tips to buy pressure washing equipment for industrial degreasing.

Pressure washing equipment is considered among the most powerful equipment available today for industrial cleaning. These are used for a number hard surface cleaning tasks that are normally considered difficult. Heavy-duty industrial degreasing is one such cleaning job. It involves cleaning all the machines on the assembly line in a factory.

These machines usually have grease residue,Tips to Buy Pressure Washing Equipment for Industrial Degreasing Articles oil stains, and dirt caused by heat and exposure to dusty air. Powerful cleaning machines, such as pressure washing equipment, are required for removing dirt from industrial machines. Not all kinds of pressure washers are equipped with sufficient resources to handle this task. This article provides some tips to buy the right kind of cleaning machines for heavy-duty industrial degreasing.

Output Pressure
Normally, the output pressure of pressure washer machines varies between 750 and 8000 psi, depending upon the model. For heavy-duty degreasing of factory machines, the pressure washing equipment should have an output pressure level in the 3000 psi range. Machines with lower output pressure levels may not exert enough output power to blast away the grease residue, oil stains, and other types of impurities present on industrial machines. Higher pressure levels may damage machinery.

Output Temperature
Output temperature is not much of a concern for normal cleaning tasks associated with pressure washing equipment. But, in the case of heavy-duty industrial degreasing, the output temperature too has to be high.

Normally, pressure washing machines offer three ranges of output temperature. Some of the machines do not have heating elements. These machines offer cold water output—that is, the output is at room temperature. Some commercial pressure washers equipped with heating elements offer both cold water and hot water output. Hot water output has a temperature of up to 210°F.

The machines suitable for industrial degreasing should provide higher output temperatures. These machines should provide steam output—that is, the output temperature should be about 330°F.

It is better to use tri-mode pressure washer machines as these machines can provide all three types of output temperatures.

Power Source
Another major consideration of buying pressure washing equipment is the source of power. In terms of the power source, pressure washing machines can be broadly classified into two types: gas pressure washers and electric pressure washers.

Gas pressure washers have combustion engines that burn fossil fuels to derive energy for the functioning of the machines. These are excellent commercial pressure washers for outdoor use. For industrial degreasing, though, it is better to opt for electric pressure washing equipment. These machines work efficiently and with less noise, ideal for better indoor use.

There are two major differences between gas-powered machines and electric machines. First, electric machines produce less noise. The same cannot be said about gas-powered machines.

Second, electric pressure washing machines do not produce any exhaust. On the other hand, gas pressure washing machines do produce exhaust as combustion of fossil fuels produce byproducts that have to be emitted from the machine.

Electric industrial pressure washers are preferred for industrial degreasing because of lack of noise and lack of exhaust.
