Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Rope Demand in Commercial sectors

The high density and tensile strength of this rope make it ideal for applications where high strength and endurance are required. Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Rope comes in two major forms-dyneema and nylon.

Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Rope is also known as HMW or Hi Waft Polyethylene. It was first manufactured in 1960. The material is very light but has excellent tensile strength and tear resistance. This rope is made of a different mixture of vinyl carbonate and polyethylene terephthalate. This highly dense and high strength rope is used in many industries where it is crucial to have strong ropes. The use of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene rope was in used for different applications like marine applications, floatation applications, construction & infrastructure applications, high strength marine applications, environmental applications like for surface coatings and for the purpose of floating objects, etc. It is also used for applications like launching ships, aircraft, lifting platforms, etc. In industries, this type of fiber is usually known as Dylon or Stainless Steeldyneema.

 

HDPE is also highly resistant to extreme temperatures and corrosive liquids. Its low Coefficient of friction means that it will not leave any mark on the surface it touches. In addition to being low in friction, it is also unaffected by most solvents. Flexicoel is flexible and has high tensile strength, which makes it ideal for applications where it has to withstand stress. It is also capable of withstanding extreme temperature ranges and is capable of sustaining its integrity even under the most demanding conditions. Another important aspect of HDPE or high molecular weight polyethylene rope is its abrasion resistance.
