Six Sigma is one of the biggest and best management strategies to hit the business world and this type of program is creating winning businesses time and time again. If you are considering using Six Sigma and training your employees then it is a good idea to study the structure before the actual training process begins. This can be helpful when you need to tweak the process and adapt it to your business structure later on.
There are several different Six Sigma levels but three primary ones that are involved in the certification process and those are Yellow Belts, Green Belts, and Black Belts. Each level has its own training process and follows its own protocol in your business structure.
The lowest level of Six Sigma is the yellow belt and this training program is a good choice for students who are looking for a simple overview of Six Sigma. This program works well to expand the knowledge of those students who are in a business related field. This program does teach some management principles but does not go into the same depth that the higher levels of Six Sigma begin to encompass.
The next level of Six Sigma is the Green Belt and is usually taken after a person has successfully completed the Yellow Belt Program and become completely certified. Since Green Belts actually do most of the work in the Six Sigma Process and take guidance from those higher up in the company that have completed the Black Belt Certification Program. They also are in charge of overseeing the yellow belts as well.
The Black Belts are at the top of the Six Sigma food chain so to speak and Black Belt training program is a lot more challenging then the other levels of Six Sigma Certification are. The Black Belts are those who are in upper management positions and they lead their colleagues in the Six Sigma methodologies. These leaders delegate responsibility and oversee the entire process. Black Belt training is serious and most who enroll are serious about their upper management careers.
Six Sigma Certification can be challenging but most find that it provides them with useful tools to better manage their business and form this training program most find that they become more valuable employees who are better able to motivate their staff to work towards common goals. As a way of increasing profitability for a company Six Sigma succeeds in a variety of different businesses across the board.
