In fact sarees are increasingly becoming popular with young women,Wedding Sarees: 5 Things to Look For Articles who earlier had a problem with the supposed tough saree draping styles.

If you are picking a wedding saree, there are five things that you must look out for in your D-Day outfit:

  1. Fabric Fabric of any outfit is as important a factor as it can get. For your wedding saree, you can choose from georgette, silk, velvet, brocade and other such heavy fabrics. The reason why chiffon won’t work is because chiffon cannot carry such heavy embroidery and stone work, as one usually sees on a wedding saree. Net is also the preferred fabric choice of many women because of the volume and look. Make sure that you choose a fabric keeping in mind the weather and temperature conditions on your wedding day.
  2. Blouse The choli or blouse must be perfect to the T. The blouse can uplift the look of your wedding saree or bring it to the ground. From neck style, back style to length of blouse and sleeves, everything is important and you must pay attention to each of these aspects to get a perfectly stitched and perfectly designed blouse.
  3. Color The color of the saree is certainly important. Indian women refrain from wearing black and white on their wedding day, so black white goes out of the consideration. Also, if I were to choose a color for my wedding dress, I would never choose black and white. One must go for colors like green, orange, yellow, red, blue, pink, magenta and other such deep colors that can brighten up your look for the wedding day. Party wear sarees or wedding sarees come in great color combinations that are certain to pop up the look.
  4. Embroidery and Work The D-day attire has to be elaborate, you cannot go for simple sarees, and the work has to be very detailed in terms of work. Go for sarees that features traditional work in zari, resham, sequin, stone, appliqué, patch work, lace and whatever else fits the bill.
  5. Drape style How you drape the saree can define its look. You would not want to go with the simple saree draping style for your wedding saree. Go for double dupatta style saree which features a pallu and an additional dupatta for the head. Styling of the saree comes into picture here, even the best of outfits look boring if not worn in the right style, matched with the right accessories and carried off comfortably.
