If you visit Bangalore in the near future, will see a lot of major changes in the city to bring about a positive change in the lives of the Bangaloreans. Multiple flyovers, better residences, more jobs prospects, and better infrastructure are some of the positive changes. To provide an example of the infrastructure improvement in Bangalore, the planned Byappanhalli Railway Over Bridge deserves a mention. This over bridge is being constructed in between Old Madras Road and Maruthi Seva Nagar.

There are some benefits the residents of the city can expect from this over bridge. A couple of these have been discussed below:

Less Waiting Time: Currently, people have to wait in their vehicles for more than 20-30 minutes at a stretch just to cross the railway tracks at Byappanahalli when trains pass. This leads to major traffic jams because the roads here are not too wide either. This caused a lot of inconvenience to the commuters, especially busy executives and businessmen, who tend to avoid this road and resort to longer routes instead. However, once the Byappanahalli Over Bridge is built, this waiting time can be eliminated.

Less Travelling Time: Numerous commuters face a lot of inconvenience near Byappanahalli just to pass these railway tracks. Even pedestrians find it difficult to walk through. This is mainly because an average of 50 trains pass through this point every day. Once this over bridge gets completed, commuters need not wait for trains to pass in order to cross the level crossing. They can simply move on irrespective of any oncoming trains or not, which will reduce transit time to a great extent.

The construction of the Byappanahalli Over Bridge was delayed by almost a year in the past. However, the Mayor of Bangalore, together with MLA S Raghu spoke with the Chief Minister to speed up the completion process of this over bridge so that commuters can heave a sigh of relief and travel smoothly. After a tiring wait of almost 5 years, the residents of Bangalore can now expect the Byappanahalli Over Bridge to get completed in the near future.
