What Is The Confederate Flag And What Does It Stand For

 The flying' of the 'confederate flag' in' Charleston', South Carolina ignited many protest after nine church goers were killed around the town. The flag is being flown in the southern states and the supporters of the flag’s continued with the usage viewing it as a sign of the southern ancestry heritage and representation of independent and distinct culture of the southern part of U.S from the other part of the state. Many individuals say that flying a flag is an issue about pride.

It was known as the Dixie flag, Southern cross and rebel flag which often incorrectly known as the Bars and stars The real bars and stars is the first state flag that was used entirely as a different design.

Why it sparked protest in Charleston
