Consider the amount of rent being charged for the apartment and compare that with the rent prices of similar apartments in the neighborhood. The prices should be relatively close. If the building provides you with a garage space, it would be a good idea to take it, even if it means having to pay for it, as you don't want to drive around in circles for 30 minutes just to park your car when you get home from work.
