There are many different factors to consider when settling upon a handbag. There's the issue of whether it flatters your figure. Then there's an entire closet to compliment. Can it cater for all your bits and bobs? Is it worthy for out and about, out on the town and not too loud for work? There's even seasonal conditions to contend with. Sometimes the entire process can be a little overwhelming. Perhaps, that's why it is so habit-forming, that never ending search for a perfect handbag, forever beyond your reach.

For a woman,Why that handbag obsession isn't really such a bad matter Articles there is nothing less desirable than having to wear outdated, cheap handbags. Not just because it’s out of date, but when you carry it, the old bag reminds you of how much more it was than you could afford and how little it is worth today, just so that you could enjoy a fading moment of feeling trendy and fashionable. In fact, a quarter of handbag purchases are made in this way; on impulse in order to get that feel-good factor. It's no surprise that most households contain a significant handbag graveyard, full of unloved, abandoned handbags.

So why do women have this incessant need to buy over-priced, "in-season" handbags on sale? After all, isn’t it simply a place to hold your necessities? Partly it's because, over-time, handbags have become a unique outward statement of a woman's status, fashion savvy and earning power. The rising popularity of women's handbags over the past 100 years has followed the increasing social independence of their proprietors.

Clothes on the catwalk now regularly take second place to these covetable fashion accessories. It's a trend which has fuelled the incredible increase of the handbag industry in the last decade. "It-Bag's" have become the ultimate 21st-century object of desire, not just for supermodels and celebutantes, but for working women from all walks of life. An It-bag is an extension of self, a constant companion, telling the world about the essence of your personality and making you stand out from the crowd.
