My mother spent her entire adult life working for a government agency in a fairly non-descript job. She didn’t like her job,Why Would You Want to Be a Woman Entrepreneur? The reason she stayed in that job was because she wanted a safe salary and a secure retirement. She got both of those, but she missed out on a lot of life.

As a woman entrepreneur, you actually are in charge of your own life and your own future. You can choose to work with whomever you want and in whatever industry you choose. If you decide not to work one week, you can do that. You don’t have to work with people that you don’t like. But, most of all – you make the decisions.

On the downside, for a true woman entrepreneur, there really isn’t a “Monday”, because every day is a work day. You will work more hours and harder hours for yourself than you will for any other boss, yet somehow it doesn’t really matter. It is a lot easier to put in the hours when you see a direct result of the work you do and you retain all of the profits.

Being a woman entrepreneur is a wonderful way to be able to express yourself, to enjoy your working life, and to actually make more money than you would by working for someone else.
Having your own business is one of those so-called “American dreams” that the risk-takers among us dream about and right now is a great time to take a chance and enter the marketplace as your own boss.
