Baby bedding is usually not near any flammable situations such as near the kitchen stove or an open fireplace. You should be very careful with a baby near these anyways. Fire retardant chemicals by their very design are made to not wash off and to be long lasting. We prefer to have baby sheets that do not have these. Especially since babies are so prone to chewing and teething on blankets.
