The field of communication, especially in recent times, appears to be constantly evolving, and also the types of jobs that are connected to this sector are multiplying.

No wonder that there are many new professional figures that are characterized by a certain ability in the field of communication and that can be considered as experts of this field.

 

When we deal with professions connected to the world of communication we explore a wide and varied world, made of figures that are very different from each other, but who are connected to each other by the leitmotiv of communication. When we speak about experts of communication we can refer to a journalist, for example, who is an expert of written word and of communication of news, facts and opinions, but also to a media planner, the professional that deals with finding the media that are most suitable for the needs of a customer as far as advertising campaign is concerned. Then there are many other figures, and each one is characterized by specific capacities and abilities.

 

Those who wish to take up a career in the field of communication must be aware of the fact that they are entering a very interesting world, which is constantly evolving and multi-faceted. A world that can offer many opportunities also to people that have different abilities. Jobs that can be perfected in the field, but that in some cases require a given training and qualification. If you think that your “mission” is writing, for example, it is self-evident that if you want to become journalist you need to follow a given path, which can include a specific degree, the writing of a certain number of articles and passing an exam. In addition to journalists, there are also other figures that are part of the same sphere of writing, from copywriters, who prepare advertising texts, to bloggers, very recent figures that are becoming more and more popular, and in many cases authoritative, too.

 

While a blogger might be defined as a self-made man, a person that autonomously builds his own profession with his natural ability to communicate with other people, if you want to take up other types of careers you need to have a specific preparation. It is no coincidence that there are many university and training courses that orient towards professions like public relations manager, communication and marketing manager, corporate communicator and so on. However, we cannot deny that in order to do these jobs preparation is necessary but not enough: in order to become professionals of communication you need to be able to communicate, to be a journalist or to be a professional of written communication in general you must be able to write, to be experts of public relations you must be able to build relationships and so on. And all these abilities can be perfected, but they cannot be learned out of thin air.
