Allied health field has lot to offers as a career in assisting especially medical assisting. For this field one needs train as medical assistant. Allied health field jobs including medical assistant jobs will grow by 30 percent in coming months. In USA the aging population requires more skilled health care professionals.  

Career in medical fields offers a chance to the unemployed to discover an earning source but prior training in a health school is required.  There are many certificate programs offered by health schools in states of USA.

For people who always wanted to be in medicine but could not make it to be a surgeon or a doctor this is an opportunity. The job can be a well paid on if you excel.

Medical Coding

Medical coders the job is to maintain records of patients in hospitals. The coding is a recognized coding system (ICD-9 index) which complies with federal regulation and insurance requirement.

Medical Billing

A sub specialty of medical coding medical billing job. For a career in this field one should join a health school which offers training program in medical billing and coding.

Phlebotomy

Phlebotomy is an allied health field where in phlebotomist extracts blood from patients for medical testing. Phlebotomists can also prepare and process blood tests. A good phlebotomist explains the whole procedure to the patients. He or she updates records prepare stains and reagents in the lab. He or she is also responsible for cleaning and sterilizing equipment. Monitor patients BP respiration and pulse. Certification is highly recommended that too by ASCP - The American Society for Clinical Pathology - or AMT - American Medical Technologists – and ASPT -American Society for Phlebotomy Technicians.

The training program in phlebotomy should be conducted by trained experts and educators. Phlebotomy course includes anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system and techniques. Hands-on training in drawing blood through vein puncture and skin puncture is also imparted.
