Medical coding is medical terminology and represents the system of coding in medical field. It also helps in the treatment of the patients when moved from one place to another, and a doctor can understand the whole story (or history) from the written code.

Medical coding is not merely a system made by anyone who knows the ABC's of the coding, as it has gone through much more than that.
