If you’re a person who likes working in a laid back atmosphere,Working in Retail Rocks! Articles having fun, and doing what you love, then retail jobs are for you. From selling clothing to electronics, a retail position can help you develop your business skills. The pay is decent and the hours are long, but the perks are well worth it. I would suggest this line of work to someone who is looking to add some excitement to their life. It’s a way to get out there and meet people, while still earning some cash on the side.Working in retail is not for everyone. This type of position requires a lot of personal selling and social interaction. You’re not just sitting in a cubicle typing away all day. Most retail jobs require that you work the register, manage the floor or work in the stock room. Not too bad, but you are most likely required stay on your feet all day. There is usually a store manager or assistant manager on the floor with sales associates working under him/her.I used to work for Oakley, Inc. as a sales associate. This job was perfect for me at the age of eighteen. Oakley was a great company to work for, because they gave me all kinds of free clothing and incredible discounts. I was also able to plug in my music and get that place bumping with hot tunes while I was making sales! I would definitely recommend a retail job like Oakley for young people still in high school or college.Retail is fun in so many other ways. You hang out with some really cool people all day. It’s very easy to make friends and meet people in retail, because there are so many new customers walking in all the time. Oakley has a tendency to draw attractive people into their store, which was awesome for me when I worked there! I got to flirt with some of the hottest people on the job. What’s better than selling a product you love, hanging out with fun people, and experiencing something different every day? Not much! If you’re going to be spending most of your time at work, make sure you’re doing something you love.
