HTC have a reputation as the manufacturer of some of the finest Smartphones available today. With the release of handsets such as the Legend it is easy to see why. With key features including a touch screen, 5 mega pixel camera and Wi-Fi internet access, the Legend offers appeal on all levels.

The Legend comes supplied with 384 MB of internal memory for storage of data such as media files. This offers a good level of storage,The HTC Legend Is A High Peformance Smartphone Articles however further storage can be attained simply by installing a memory card of up to 32 GB into the micro SD card slot. This level of storage should be adequate for most people’s digital music collections. The internal phonebook can store a seemingly unlimited number of contacts and includes if popular Photocall application which allows a photo to be assigned to each contact. This is then displayed on screen any time that person calls.

Vibration and ringing alert users to incoming calls and messages.  MP3 music files can be assigned as ringtones so users can hear the song of their choice any time the phone rings.  A speakerphone system and an audio jack are pre-installed into the handset if offering various options for handsfree communication.

The HTC Legend is not really a small phone, which is forgivable given the size of its touch screen. Its dimensions are 112x56.3x11.5mm and the weight of the handset is just 126 grams. The Legend is an attractive unit, manufactured from a single piece of aluminium, giving it a unique stylish appearance.

The Legend utilises a selection of connectivity features to ensure that users stay connected to both cellular networks and the Internet no matter where they are.  Class 10 versions of both GPRS and edge provide the handset with its initial means of connecting to cellular networks in locations with little or no 3G coverage.  In areas covered by 3G, a HSDPA connection provides access to the internet at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (along with HSUPA at 2 mega bytes per second). Wi-Fi takes advantage of the signals provided by wireless internet routers, allowing a faster connection, and therefore an enhanced web browsing experience to be achieved. Bluetooth allows the phone to be wirelessly connected to other compatible phones in the same area, and a micro USB connection allows the Legend to be directly hooked up to a computer in order to carry out tasks such as transferring media files.

The HTC Legend is equipped with an impressive 5 mega pixel camera.  This gives users the opportunity to taking quality still images.  Autofocus and an LED flash simplify the task of taking images no matter what the lighting conditions. The popular geo-tagging facility allows users to tag the location at which a photo was taken, adding another dimension to the experience looking back at images taken in the past. Obviously, the camera can shoot video, offering an alternative to taking still images.

The HTC Legend has seen a lot of attention heading its way since its release and has become a flagship model for the manufacturer. This comes as no surprise given the phone’s all-round quality.
