Boasting a range of impressive features, the Samsung Galaxy S is one of the most appealing handsets to date from the manufacturer. Boasting a huge 4 inch touch screen, 5 mega pixel digital camera and the renowned Android OS, it is easy to see the appeal of this handset.

As with most other Android phones, the Galaxy S is a very versatile handset which has a long list of additional features and applications.  Entertainment wise, the versatile internal media player supports many different formats of both music and video files whilst a number of pre-installed games and a stereo FM radio player are also provided to keep users entertained for hours on end.  A handy organiser and document editor (compatible with word, excel, PowerPoint and PDF files) are provided for productivity tasks which is sure to appeal to business users and students alike.  GPS with A-GPS support is provided which allows several applications to function such as a digital compass and geo-tagging.

As mentioned, the handset boasts the 4 inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which is able to display up to 16M colours resulting in excellent quality display of on screen imagery making it perfect for viewing photos and video files.  An accelerometer sensor is built into the handset which automatically rotates the image on the screen so can be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms.

Dependent upon the model, either 8 GB or 16 GB of internal storage is provided as standard.  However, and rivals come with a micro SD card slot which is capable of accommodating a memory card of up to 32 GB allowing ample storage for the needs of most users.

An impressive 5 mega pixel digital camera is provided which operates at a high pixel resolution resulting in excellent quality photographs.  The task of taking great snapshots is made simple thanks to a variety of image enhancing features such as Autofocus, touch focus and face & smile detection.  The camera can also shoot video and this is in 720p quality at a rate of 30 frames per second, currently amongst the highest quality footage available on any mobile phone.
