Accessing the Cloud RemotelyCloud Computing has reshaped how users access information remotely. It has provided a mechanism through which IT infrastructure and capacity can be increased without the need to purchase additional computing resources. This is simply because of its vast potential to change how information is manipulated virtually. Cloud computing is an advanced version of what is known as utility computing where servers can be accessed over the internet. Could computing allow Remote Access of a web based service which hosts applications that are needed by other companies? These remote servers are able to manage various things such as email, data storage, software sharing and word processing among other things. The concept is greatly appreciated by many IT professionals as their local machines are no longer required for the use of routine tasks and application management. On the part of the users, less hardware and software is required as it is the resources of the web services provider that is being used. The cloud provides IT professionals with a way to effectively increase capacity, technology and infrastructure without purchasing additional hardware and software resources. In some sense it may be cost effective for some individuals to deploy it as a Remote Desktop Softwaremethod. Users often use the services of the cloud through simple user interfaces which may be simple and similar to that of a web browser. Remote Control Software installed on the user’s desktop may also be used to access the services of the cloud. Many of us will at some point or another use cloud computing without even knowing it. For example, many persons access their emails via the internet which does not require a software installation and as such the mails are accessed virtually and not downloaded on to the user’s computer. Cloud computing is also evident through the use of search engines. When an individual uses a search engine to search the web they are essentially search the contents of a server hosted remotely. In order for the cloud
computing concept to work a number of elements are required such as: databases
for storage purposes, control nodes, application servers, Internet services,
computer network and client computers.
There are a number of characteristics which make cloud computing
appealing, these include its: flexibility, cost effectiveness, performance,
security, centralization of resources, reliability Read more: Staying-Safe-With-Remote-Control-Programs Article Tags: Cloud Computing Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
