The Giant Iphone is what many consumers are thinking about Apples newest innovative product the Ipad and why is it we suddenly need more gadgets than we already have,Apple Ipads Role In The Future Articles where many of them is just collecting dust.

The reason is that there is a brand new market out there, a market for e-books and electronic newspapers. Amazon is aware of that market that is why they released the Kindle which is an attempt to try to dominate the E-Book market, and it has been working pretty well with more than 30.000 Kindles sold so far. Amazon expect a revenue around $750 million in 2010 alone just on the Kindle.

The newspaper is dead, long live the plastic paper that can transform every time there is a new issue. Apple knows that, and the Ipad is the first step on that direction for Apple.

Apple looks much further than Amazon has been able to do and sees a completely new market for not only E-books but newspapers as well. That is one of the reasons for that the Ipad supports the open E-book format ePub as well, which will give the Ipad some advantages overseas compared to the Kindle.

The IPad far superior to the Kindle when it comes to computer power, memory and features, but that is not necessarily at advantage if you a looking for a tablet to read your e-books on when you are in the subway or on the treadmill in your local gym. Books are much easier to read when they are in grayscale format, we already knows that because no one really want to read a book on their computer, because of the flickering. You also have to think about the weight, it is easier to carry around the Kindle that weights 292 gram instead of the 700 grams that is the weight of the Ipad
