This is why we recommend you to look at the software development market and local Dynamics GP partner,Dynamics GP eCommerce Demo via Web Session Articles who is necessary local to you, but who is the leader in the industry.  Modern day presentation technology is often based on Web Session with phone conference.  We are also trying to innovate with web cameras to show presenter to the audience.  In today’s publication we will give you some technology info on our ecommerce module and how it works with Dynamics GP Sales Order Processing Module:
1. Ecommerce Shopping Cart integration to SOP Order or Invoice.  This is, probably the most popular approach among ecommerce product for Dynamics GP as well as custom in-house developed ecommerce integrations.  If you are in B2C ecommerce scenario, we recommend you to keep maximum in your eCommerce Shopping Cart platform and move transactions as they are to Dynamics GP Invoice.  If you do so – we provide wizard driven setup interface, where you simply select your Shopping Cart platform (Magento, Asp .Net Storefront, etc.)
2. Sales Order Processing Settings.  As the proposed solution is based on SOP module in Great Plains, implementation wizard walks you through default SOP type (where you may decide if items allocation is automatic or manual, in the case of manual you can fulfill the order on the warehouse floor via barcode scanning in your Warehouse Management System)
3. Inventory Control Settings.  Here you have to pick default site ID for allocating inventory items from that site.  Sometimes we see the scenarios, when ecommerce retailers do not use Inventory items, and use so-called non inventory items – this is fine, however you should be aware that you do not have control over your Inventory: physical count, item quantities, transfer from one site to another – all these transactions you should count outside of Dynamics GP and post General Ledger transactions with comments.  Also, if you are looking for non inventory items in Great Plains, then ecommerce integration could be realized directly in Dynamics GP Integration Manage module, where you can deploy either simple text file based source, or go directly to query your ecommerce database via advanced ODBC data source (could pull records from virtually all ODBC compliant database platforms: MS SQL Server, Pervasive SQL, Oracle, Linux/PHP/MySQL, MS Access)
4. How to Run Integration Manager integration.  This simplest way is to have user login Dynamics GP, open Integration Manager and launch integration manually (if you deploy eConnect connector in IM, you do not need to be logged into GP).  However you can schedule IM integration to trigger automatically in Quasi real time (Microsoft Business Solution has special product for such scheduling, in our opinion you can also look at freeware Windows Macro products, where you can record macro and then schedule it in Scheduled Tasks directly on your Windows Server)
5. How to schedule ecommerce web presentation?  Please, call us 1-866-528-0577, 1-630-961-5918 or email us help@albaspectrum.com  We serve you nationwide from our locations in Chicago, IL, St. Joseph, MI, Orange County, Sand Diego, Los Angeles, CA and Houston, TX.  We are also happy to provide second opinion on Dynamics GP ecommerce, especially when your ecommerce implementation failed or went in limbo by whatever reason
