Dynamics GP eCommerce Partner and ISV: SQL Stored Procedures approach

In earlier publications we already discussed eConnect programming, Dexterity custom add-ons, Integration Manager, Automatic Batches Posting from ecommerce application by deploying Posting Server.  In this article we would like to concentrate on custom SQL Stored Procedures and our Stored Procs set, named Order Connector. 

We assume that the reader is Microsoft Visual Studio C#, VB programmer or IT specialist with reasonable exposure to SQL Scripting.  At this time we are preparing user interface for Order Connector to enable its deployment for non technical people, we will announce it later on, but for now read this paper:

1.       Simple Interface, especially if you think that eConnect is too complex to learn.  This might be serious point, as Order Connector is just simple hierarchy of SQL Stored procedures, allowing you to push ecommerce invoices and payments directly to Dynamics GP Sales Order Processing module work tables.  Order Connector assumes that you are deploying simplified SOP Invoice and Order logic, and having said that it should be naturally faster in execution, as number of SQL instructions is lower

2.       Older Versions of Great Plains.  Order Connector is built upon SOP tables structure and as it is very matured, we are happy to announce that Order Connector works with historical (and no longer supported by MBS) versions: 8.0, 7.5, 7.0, 6.0.  If you did research on Dynamics GP eConnect, you probably figured out that it had its own QA cycle and you probably want to deploy eConnect programming for Dynamics GP versions 10.0 or 9.0, maybe with some exceptions to 8.0, but earlier versions were in sort of probation mode.  If you are on older Great Plains version and you do not have the budget and desire to upgrade your Dynamics GP to version 10.0, feel free to deploy Order Connector

3.       Order Connector as the Solution.  We also offer custom scripts tuning services, where you do not have to expose yourself to long and often bumpy learning curve - simply have us deploy proven scripts and tune them to fit your unique Dynamics GP eCommerce integration requirements

4.       Custom eCommerce to GP integration scripts.  The realities of modern days business practice dictate the rule to avoid unnecessary customizations on your ERP and MRP systems, but you may decide to make an exemption, especially when custom programming seems to be a shortcut budget wise.  If you have integration needs, where SQL custom scripts seems to be a work around and Order Connector doesn't cover you requirements, feel free to call us: 1-866-528-0577, help@albaspectrum.com
