You may have invested into sophisticated barcode label printing equipment and would like it to synchronize barcode algorithm with GP Items,Dynamics GP Integrations: RMS, EDI, eCommerce, Batches Posting Notes Articles their serial or lot numbers.  Plus, there are numerous possible integration points for Barcode scanner info upload to Dynamics GP: Inventory Count, Picking and Packing, Shipping and Receiving, Service Contracts.  Let's review you GP integration methods and options:

1.       Existing Dynamics GP ISV Partners Add-ons versus Solutions approach.  First you should take a look at existing out-of-the-box Dynamics GP add-ons, where you problem might be solved.  Total list of Dynamics GP ISV partners is out of the scope of this small article, one of them is in front of you - our company.  If existing add-ons do not do exact or similar job, consider Solutions approach, where you deploy existing codes and custom modules to assemble your solutions from existing parts.  Good example in Dynamics GP integration with Microsoft RMS.  We have seen so many different requirements and scenarios in integration mapping: how you map your RMS item numbers and GP Inventory items, for instance.  The decision was made to have this integration not as out-of-the-box solution, but in the form of codes and interfaces options ready for assembly

2.       EDI integration.  If you are looking for inexpensive solution, where your Dynamics GP info is exported in EDI compliant format, we do this in complex SQL Select statements directly from GP DB tables.  In the case of importing EDI documents into Dynamics GP, we offer advanced ODBC GP Integration Manager integration, where we read EDI text files directly in IM, or do import into staging SQL tables for Advanced SQL View and this view resolves virtually all EDI formats.  If your EDI format is XML based, then there are the ways to get it via GP eConnect

3.       eCommerce integration.  We offer several products here.  Order Connector - it is for simple SOP transactions import from ecommerce orders.  This product is written in direct SQL Stored Procedures and has amazing real time performance, it is able to handle unlimited number of ecommerce invoices per minute.  Another product Posting Server allows you to post GP ecommerce batches (plus all the other core functionality modules batches) from ecommerce or Microsoft Visual Studio projects.  If you are Oracle, or Java World programmer: Linux, EJB, all you need to do to post batches via Posting Server is to fill SQL PS batch status table - you can do it via Linked Server or JDBC ODBC bridge connections

4.       Dynamics GP Integrations for International customers.  We have multiple successful Posting Service, GP to RMS, Order Connector implementations in USA, Canada, Caribbean, Central and South America.  if you have Dynamics GP as you Corporate ERP in USA or Canada, and you want to pick ERP for your international branch in Brazil we recommend you SAP Business One, which is simple in implementation and consolidation to your Dynamics GP Corporate ERP
