If your organization is committed to Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP and MRP application, formerly known as Great Plains Dynamics or eEnterprise, we are offering you GP integration and implementation highlights for small and mid-size retailers with warehouse and supply chain management, consignment and barcoding automation.

We name our products Solutions,Dynamics GP Retail Integration and Barcoding Notes Articles as we typically work with your IT people and in-house programmers to tune existing modules and program codes to fit your, often unique, business processes and requirements:

1.       Handcrafts, Souvenirs, Jewelry, Variable Weight Food and Items tracking in Great Plains.  Here the dilemma is how and where to print barcode labels.  We recommend you to consider tracking these items either by serial (unique items) or lot number (when each series received is unique) in Great Plains.  In the case of food (meat, poultry, cheese) with variable weight you can deploy advanced distribution with Catch Weight functionality.  Barcode labels printing could be done in GP ReportWriter, or if you prefer advanced tools, consider Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).  We have simple VBA scripts, allowing you to call Crystal Report directly from GP, assuming that you are deploying Great Plains Modifier with VBA scripting

2.       Retail application integration.  Here, in our opinion the best results could be achieved if you are using Microsoft RMS for POS, Store Operations, and its Headquarters module.  We have set of integration scripts ready for tuning, including lot numbers logic, Purchase Receipt integration, moving Sales to GP Sales Order Processing or Receivable Management (when you do not track QTY in GP and would only need GL distributions) modules.  However, if you have another Point Of Sale system, such as Counterpoint, for example, we should be able to help you out as well.  Counterpoint has GP integration extension, and others POS systems could be integrated via either GP Integration Manager or SQL Scripts.  If you POS is based in Linux, Oracle, PHP/MySQL ecommerce, and if you are able to open ODBC connection from it to Dynamics GP MS SQL Server databases, the rest is doable

3.       Supply Chain Management.  Here you may need Barcode Scanners batch or real time integration to Dynamics GP Inventory (Cycle Stock Count), Purchase Order Processing (Purchase Receipts scanning), Sales Order Processing (Picking Tickets and Packing Slips)

4.       Inventory Consignments.  In some situations you do not want to show merchandise on your Balance Sheet and would prefer consignment model.  Please, feel free to call us on Consignment automation in Dynamics GP: 1-866-528-0577, help@albaspectrum.com
