Connecting to the internet with your Mac means that your IP could expose you to eavesdropping, Hide Your IP Address on a Mac - Again Articles deep packet searching, or other types of malware that target spying on your online activity to hijack your sessions or steal your identity.  Being able to  hide your IP address on Mac changes this, making your invisible online.  With the upcoming update to the OSX system, will there be any changes to the way you change your IP on Mac?Probably not.For a long time, as long as you use a proxy or a VPN, there haven't been many changes to the way you change a Macs IP address. Many times, this is done automatically, which is very convenient for Mac users, as they often have less of a clue of how to go in and manually change stuff. (sorry, I couldn't resist the sucker punch). If you decide to use a proxy, the update won't affect your anonymous surfing at all. Open Proxies and web based proxies are all taken care of through your browser, so as long as the browser stays the same, then there's going to be no difference there. If you're using a VPN, the VPN services themselves will have updated versions for the new Mac system, which again mean, you don't have to do anything. If you already have a VPN service subscription and plan on buying a new Mac, then you can of course request an updated version of the VPN for Mac.As always, if you're going to hide your IP address on a Mac, make sure that you get your privacy settings in order.  First, don't allow cookies, caching of temp internet files, or recording of your browser history.  Then, sign up for a VPN service, as this is going to be the most private way to surf the internet. Proxies are nice, but best for unblocking sites, rather than actually hiding from cyber crime.  Once these changes are made, be sure to sign into the VPN before opening up Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or whatever other browser you're using.  You may even want to clear your DNS information.  Another good idea is to prevent auto-fill, as sometimes this can record information about your computer and its settings.Once all these have been done (maybe you want to make a checklist), you can surf the internet invisibly and worry free from predators online (you also want a decent anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware security suite).
