So there are hundreds of manufacturers of android tablets already. There are different brands, models and even types of tablets; thus, it should not be surprising at all that the price could vary widely from brand to brand and from model to model. For example, some of the cheapest android tablets could be purchased for as low as the bottom three-figured prices whereas other models can be bought for ten times more than that. It definitely sounds like there must be some differences between those two tablets, right?

Well, what’s really interesting is that price cannot and should not be taken as an indicator for quality of the android tablet. Believe it or not, there could be tablets sold at a 4-figured cost which are of much poorer quality than the tablets sold at 5-10 times lower prices. That’s why there are other characteristics and specs which one could pay attention to in order to get a basic idea of the tablet’s quality.

Perhaps, one of the most important non-technical characteristics that should be taken into account is the brand. Of course, it should be made clear that there definitely is difference between price and brand. For example, an android tablet of the worst quality brand could be overpriced and sold for over a thousand bucks, which is crazy. But the brand itself, as a name, can give a lot of information about what to expect from the product no matter if it is an android tablet or something else in general. It is the brand reputation that gives you the guarantee of quality. That is why you pay higher prices, because you pay for the guarantee that a particular item will be of high quality. It is as simple as that.

Of course, you can easily avoid pay for brand reputation by entrusting some of the less known brands which are, say, entering the market right now. On the other hand, you will have no guarantee for the quality of their android tablet. But if you have read some positive reviews on that particular item of the brand, you can definitely go for it because you will conclude the best deal possible – a good-quality tablet at a low price because the brand has not become so famous yet. It sounds like a good bargain, doesn’t it? Anyways, it should be kept in mind that some people will still go for a more renowned brand because of the prestige which they feel obliged to show.
