No Blu-ray Player? Try to Convert Blu ray to Video Files like MKV, MP4

At the very beginning, you must know that Blu-ray is a closed format not a codec. So, there is no so-called BD codec. If you want to play Blu-ray disc on your computer, you need a professional Blu-ray player, like you mentioned PowerDVD 10 or so. Blu-ray is much alike to DVD. They all have to play with pro player software through drive. To be honestly, there is no useful free Blu-ray player software available on market right now since the technology is relative new. If you don't want to buy a Blu-ray player, you may try to convert Blu-ray content to regular used video formats, like MP4, MOV or MKV. Step1-Run Blu ray  to MKV converter. Click on Add button to load disc content. Please make sure you have insert Blu-ray disc in drive. Load BD/DVD ROM, after seconds, all data in disc will be listed in this software.
