The best backup programs will allow you to send your backup to another drive or to “the cloud” in order to keep it safe from whatever may be making you lose data – viruses, electrical issues, burglary, water or fire damage, or just bad computing. Whatever you do, don’t keep your backup data in the same place as your computer, or you might just end up losing both of them.
